Sunnyvale’s Cityline lands tech tenants while adding Shake Shack, Sana’a Cafe to retail mix

New leases from major technology companies are set to breathe new life into Sunnyvale’s Cityline mixed-use project.

In July 2025 Databricks became the first office tenant for the then newly built 200 West Washington Ave. office building, leasing 305,000 square feet, the Silicon Valley Business Journal first reported.

A few months later, SVBJ reported Databricks was also in negotiations to lease an additional 100,000 square feet next door at 250 West Washington Ave.

Also, Austin, Texas-based cybersecurity company CrowdStrike leased a portion of 250 Washington, SVBJ reported in early December.

These deals come as Sunnyvale continues to strengthen its position as an office hub, with retail activity also picking up across the city.

Sunnyvale has the lowest retail vacancy rate in Santa Clara County, at 3%, and is seeing an increase in demand for “brick-and-mortar retail,” according to Sunnyvale Mayor Larry Klein.
