Hunter Properties and real estate investment firm Holland Partner Group have agreed to a 99-year ground lease in which the latter will develop 725 new apartment units as part of Hunter Properties’ mixed-use Gateway Crossings development in Santa Clara.
The ground lease, which was signed Oct. 28 and made public via a Wednesday news release, represents an important milestone for Cupertino-based Hunter Properties, which is looking to build 1,565 residential units, a 225-room full-service hotel, a 2.2-acre neighborhood park, and 45,000 square feet of retail space at and around 1205 Coleman Ave. in Santa Clara.
